Privacy Policy
IronGate is a visitor-management service operated by Iron Rock Security LLC(“IronGate,” “we,” “us”) for the gated communities it serves. This policy explains what information the IronGate resident app and website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only use your information to operate visitor management and gate access for your community.
Information we collect
- Account information.Your name, email address, phone number, and the household/unit you belong to. Resident accounts are created or invited by your community’s management office.
- Visitor information you enter. The names, phone numbers, vehicle/license plate details, visit dates or schedules, and notes you provide when you add or request a visitor.
- Visit activity. Records of when a visitor is admitted to your household, created by gate staff.
- Device & notification data. A push-notification token for your device so we can alert you when a visitor arrives, if you allow notifications.
- Technical & diagnostic data. Basic app/usage and error information used to keep the service reliable and secure.
How we use your information
- Operate visitor management — adding visitors, issuing passes, and gate check-in.
- Notify you when a visitor you authorized is admitted to your household.
- Let your community’s management office review and approve visitor requests.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep an audit record of gate activity.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as needed to provide the service:
- With your community’s management office and gate staff, who use it to verify and admit visitors.
- With service providers that power the app — for example our database and authentication host, SMS provider, and push-notification provider — solely to deliver these features.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of residents, staff, or the community.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide visitor management and maintain security and audit records. When information is no longer needed, we remove or de-identify it. You can ask your community office to deactivate your account.
Security
Access to resident and visitor data is restricted to authorized accounts. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices
- Notifications. You can turn arrival notifications on or off in your device settings at any time.
- Access & deletion. To review, correct, or delete your information, or to deactivate your account, contact your community management office or email us at the address below.
Children
IronGate is intended for adult residents and community staff. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
